![]() ☄ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: Connor appears to be a human man in his late twenties or maybe early thirties, with brown hair and eyes. He's about 6'0" and 160lb, and has an LED on his temple that lights up different colors depending on the situation or his mood (in Deerington, his antler tattoo branches from the LED like it's the head of a deer.) Connor's appearance was carefully designed to be as pleasant and appealing to humans as possible, so that he can integrate better when working with them. ♚ FASHION: Connor arrived wearing his default, Cyberlife-issued clothing: a jacket with LEDs that say 'Android' and 'RK800' on the front and back, a white button up shirt, jeans, and boots. While in game he'll likely pick up some other clothing options, both to blend in as a human and also just because he has the opportunity to experiment. ♚ DEMEANOUR: Normally Connor is somewhat sedate and restrained, with good posture and deliberate movements, and he's usually pretty graceful and coordinated. When trying to be professional he can be quite still and impassive, but in more casual situations he fidgets a little, playing with a quarter and generally moving around rather than standing or sitting in one place for long. His facial expressions are typically neutral and nonreactive unless he's purposefully affecting an emotion, but when he's more relaxed--or very upset--he's much more expressive. ♚ SOUND: He speaks clearly and sometimes technically, but not overly formally. His voice is a medium tone and he normally has a deliberate cadence, although strong emotion does affect it and he may speak quickly, stammer, or otherwise lose his usual calm. ♚ SCENT: To humans and similar beings he won't smell like much of anything, although those with enhanced senses might be able to tell he's made of mechanical components and thirium. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: Anyone reading Connor's mind will find that although he's definitely sentient, he doesn't have a brain or mental processes in the same sense as most people due to being an android. It may still be possible to read his thoughts depending on how it's done, so just contact me to plot things out! ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: He has no magic or magical abilities/resistances to note. ♚ OTHER: Connor is an android, and so his physiology differs from humans. Outwardly he may seem human, including in small details such as blinking, breathing, and having a heartbeat, but these are caused by his biocomponents instead of human organs. Any characters that have enhanced senses can likely notice these differences, and therefore that he's not human. Additionally, his blood is made of a blue substance called thirium, and so would be an obvious indicator that he's an android. ☄ OOC ♚ BACKTAGGING: Backtagging is fine as long as the thread keeps moving! But if several weeks pass between tags, or the thread generally gets old, I'd prefer to handwave the ending. ♚ FOURTHWALLING: Case by case stuff I'm good with! I know it's an aspect of the game setting, so I'm not against if it's used to interesting effect. ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Connor isn't used to a lot of physical affection, but doesn't mind it and in fact would probably appreciate it. He'll just be a little awkward until he's used to it. ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Violence is fine, and no need to ask permission as long as it won't be anything serious or lasting; it's probably still fine, I just want to plan a bit! Connor is a good fighter, and he's also not human, so there might be some things to work out. Generally, he'll feel like a human if grabbed or hit, but he doesn't feel pain and his essential components--basically his organs--are in different places and have different weaknesses, so planning is needed for more than a single punch or something. ♚ KILLING: Like above, I'd like to plan for a few reasons, but it's definitely a possibility! Connor has died before and also felt another android die, but those all happened before he was deviant and it would affect him a lot more strongly now, so I'd like to make sure it's plotted out. ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: Deviant androids are capable of forming relationships and feeling love, but it's unusual. It's possible it could happen in game, just unlikely; if something organically happens though, I might be willing to play it out! ☄ Permissions ♚ SCANNING: Connor can scan his surroundings and the people in it for information. Although he wouldn't be able to find out anyone's name or details this way, he can potentially figure out if they're human or not. For characters that are mechanical in nature, it's possible he could tell this, or just that they're not human. ♚ IMITATION He can replicate another individual's voice after hearing a short sample (five to ten seconds.) ♚ CONNECTION Connor can connect to another android in multiple ways. Through physical contact, he can read the other android's memory as well as 'awaken' them into becoming deviant. From a distance he can have mental conversation, although he appears to prefer not to as he normally speaks with other androids verbally. ☄ Warnings ♚ SUICIDAL BEHAVIOR: Although Connor seems more resistant to this than many others, deviant androids are prone to suicide in extremely stressful situations and tend to resort to it as a first option instead of a last. This could come up in events and other extreme situations, but is unlikely to be a problem most of the time. However, please let me know if you'd like me to avoid this topic with you entirely! ♚ IDENTITY ISSUES: As a general theme of this canon, and for Connor in particular, the question of whether or not oneself is truly alive and a person or just a simulation of one comes up a lot. This includes problems with defining a sense of self, previous and internalized dehumanization, questioning one's own motives and judgement, and other similar issues. If anything like this would bother you/needs to be left out of tags or such, just let me know. ♚ GENERAL OPT-OUT: If there are any other topics you'd like to avoid for sure, or if you'd prefer I don't tag you at all, no problem!
